We are pleased to announce that the 9th World Biomaterials Congress (WBC) which will be held in Chengdu, China, 1-5 June, 2012, is now (has) being well prepared at this moment. As the chairman of the Congress, it is my great pleasure to cordially invite you to attend the Congress. This brochure will give you a detailed overview of what to expect, both from scientific as well as leisure point of view. You can find the time when and how to submit your abstract, getting information on early registration, scientific program, social programs, tours, and all the details you need to plan your trip. The theme for this congress is “Innovative Biomaterials and Crossing Frontiers in Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine”. As a result of calling for symposia, workshops and forums last year, we have received an incredible number of 42 proposals for plenary speakers, 178 for symposia, 13 for workshops, and 8 for forums. After undergoing a serious and (through) hard selection, the international scientific program committee finally presented a balanced number of 81 symposia 5 workshops and 3 forums, which you can find( the results) in this brochure. |

The 9th WBC Congress Secretariat recommends a large number of hotels in different price categories. The majority of the hotels are located near the Century City New International Convention & Exhibition Centre or along the metro line 1. Please refer to the hotel map to see where the hotels are located. The numbers on the map refer to the numbers in the hotel list. Please find the short descriptions of the hotels below. The Congress has contacts with the hotels and a favorable price will be provided for delegates. The exact price could be got at the beginning of September, 2011 on the congress website, which will depend on the revalue of Chinese RMB. |
